Homestay

• Welcoming and friendly atmosphere

• We have families with ensuite options available, however they are an extra $30 per week

YMCA

• YMCA is 5 minutes walk from the City Centre, and 10 – 15 minutes walk from LSI Christchurch
• Single rooms are available for approximately $55 per night. The rates decrease for long-term stays. Availability is not guaranteed. Double rooms/Twin rooms are available for approximately NZ$70 per night
• Evening meals and breakfast are optional and available. Breakfast costs NZ$10 - $15, and dinner costs NZ$16. Internet computers are also available
• Bathrooms and kitchens are shared. There is one kitchen on the ground floor, and bathrooms on each floor. Bedding and towels are provided, and washed once a week by the hostel
• A bond of NZ$200 is payable at the beginning of the stay – this is refundable when the student leaves, provided there’s no damage to the room
• Students must be 18 years + to stay there

Kiwi House

• Kiwi House has 2 buildings – both are 15 minutes walk from the City Centre, and 25 minutes walk from LSI Christchurch
• Rooms are single with a desk and linen and towels – students share bathrooms and kitchens. Towels and linen are cleaned regularly by the staff of Kiwi House
• Meals are not available
• Rooms range from $200 per week. For longer stays the price decreases. Availability is limited
• A bond of NZ$200 is payable by the student – this is refunded when the student leaves, provided there is no damage to the room
• There is an internet room, laundry facilities, a TV room and a BBQ area
• Students must be 18 years + to stay there

Urban Rooms

• There are a series of houses with 4/5 rooms in them. Each room is a single room, with a desk and linen. Students share the bathrooms and kitchens
• Meals are not available. Internet is not available
• Minimum stay of 2 weeks
• There is also a letting fee of $145 which is non-refundable and payable when renting the room
• The weekly rate is from $200 – $300
• Students must be 18 years + to stay there
