Spanish
Program
Covering all aspects of language learning (speaking, listening,
writing, reading skills), our Spanish course is specially
designed for foreign students and is taught in Spanish. Our
main text is Español 2000 but other materials are used,
as well, to augment the text. Four 50 minute classes are held
every day from Monday through Friday and the student is free
to choose the length of his or her course. In order to make
sufficient progress and gain the maximum benefit from the
course we recommend the following minimal duration: Beginner
(8-12 weeks), Intermediate (4-8 weeks) and advanced (2-4 weeks).
Generally, courses are divided into six levels: Basic (2),
Intermediate (2) and Advanced (2) depending on previous knowledge
of the Spanish language. Our average class size is 3 students
and we never place more than 5 students in a class. You will
be given a placement test on your first day to evaluate your
level and identify your individual needs. Groups are organized
in a way that they will always consist of students possessing
the same level of Spanish. Furthermore, students may choose
to take private, personalized classes (one on one instruction).
All our teachers
are Argentine native speakers of Spanish, trained and experienced
in teaching Spanish to foreigners. All of them hold a university
degree and have a good general knowledge, which is of great
importance to the interaction with the students. Generally,
we assign a teacher who speaks the student's native language,
to facilitate the communication between them.
Courses also include an introduction
to Argentine culture and customs because true intercultural
communication is more than just knowing Spanish. In addition,
we offer 2-3 organized activities every week (see below).
Our Spanish program doesn't merely constitute a language course,
but an immersion into Argentine culture and life.
At the conclusion of your studies,
you will receive a certificate of completion.
