courses for teachers Eurocentres is one of the leading organisations in the field of language learning. That’s why the Council of Europe has been taking advice from Eurocentres’ specialists for over 30 years. In this capacity, we have been, and still are, able to make an essential contribution to the development of guidelines for foreign language teaching in Europe. Language teachers who attend a Eurocentres course benefit directly from this knowledge and experience. The latest trends and developments in the field of teaching theory and methodology are presented, discussed and tested. And of course, you’ll also be refreshing your language skills and finding out what is of concern to people in their respective cultures. You’ll return to the classroom inspired and full of new ideas. 2 to 4 weeks; 25 x 50-minute lessons per week plus 5 hours self-study in the learning centre. Class size: 10-13 Eurocentres Levels 7 to 10 The course leaders are highly experienced native speakers with an exceptional interest and expertise in the field of teaching theory and methodology. The course is divided into three main sections. One of these is devoted to improving your own linguistic skills, especially in grammatical analysis, pronunciation and oral dexterity. For approximately forty per cent of the course, you’ll be familiarised with the latest teaching methods, so that you’ll be able to use them in your own classes. For the rest of the time, your interest will be focused on your host country – with the main themes being the everyday interests of its people, art, the media and the education system.
