Afternoon tours range
in price form US$ 25 to US$ 50 and include: guide, transportation,
and entrance fees.

| Canopy
Tour |
|
This tour starts at the forest edge with a guide.
After a short hike, climb to the first of a series of platforms
that are 20 to 30 meters high. After being harnesed
to cables, you traverse along the forest canopy.

| Guaitil |
|
This
town is famous for its artisan ceramic work; much of the artwork
is based on pre-Columbian designs. The "pueblo" of Guaitil
is a 40 minute drive from Flamingo and is a great place to
purchase souvenirs.

After
classes you may take a horseback riding trip along the various
beaches and mountain areas surrounding Flamingo.

|
Take a cruise of the islands surrounding the Flamingo area.

| Rincón
de la Vieja Volcano |
|
An active volcano only 2 hours from Flamingo, Rincon de la
Vieja is known for its hot water and mud pools at the volcano
base.
During this guided tour the group learns about the vegetation
and animal life native to this eco-system while hiking along
the trails near the volcano.

Arenal
and Monteverde
|
|
Experience the Monteverde Cloud forest during a two day
trip.
The first day students tour the Finca Ecologica to see the
flora and fauna native to the Monteverde region.
In the evening take a night tour of the Monteverde Cloud Reserve
in order to see the nocturnal wildlife that is hidden during
the day.
The following day the group takes the Sky Trek tour.
The Sky Trek is an interesting combination of both a canopy
tour and a hanging bridge tour allowing the student to view
the forest from above.
